Sourcing with purpose

Our cashmere producer
At Luniere, we work with a top-tier cashmere supplier that specialises in 2/26Nm 100% Royal Cashmere, known for its superior softness, durability, and fibre quality.
The raw cashmere is sourced from Inner Mongolia, where our producer works directly with local herders to ensure responsible sourcing. Sustainable grazing methods, such as rotational grazing and controlled herd management, are used to protect grasslands and support the regeneration of the local ecosystem.
Animal welfare is a core focus. The goats are raised with care, and combing - not shearing - is used to collect the undercoat fibres, which is a gentler, cruelty-free process that aligns with high animal welfare standards.
Our producer holds several internationally recognised certifications that reflect their commitment to ethical and sustainable production. These include:
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 - ensuring products are tested and verified to be free from harmful substances
- The Good Cashmere Standard® by AbTF - promotes the welfare of cashmere goats, the working conditions of farmers, and environmental sustainability (License No: GOTS-19611)
- GCS Certified Farms - independently audited farms that meet high standards in animal welfare and sustainable land use
Please note: These certifications apply to our cashmere producer. Luniere as a brand is not yet certified. We are committed to working towards certification in the future.
We choose to work with certified partners to ensure that every Luniere piece begins with integrity - from the source to your wardrobe.

Our Garment Manufacturer
Luniere partners with a smaller-scale garment manufacturer that prioritises quality over volume, allowing greater attention to detail in every piece. Approximately 140 skilled workers are involved in knitting, linking, finishing, and carefully inspecting each garment before shipment.
The factory has signed our Code of Conduct, committing to ethical labour practices, fair and safe working conditions, and responsible management practices. We regularly visit the facility in-person to ensure alignment with Luniere’s values and to oversee production processes directly.
The facility is also certified under local sustainability programs, covering waste management, labour rights, and environmental compliance - supporting our broader commitment to responsible, high-quality manufacturing.

Fair & Sustainable Pricing
Luniere’s pricing reflects the costs of premium materials, responsible production, and fair business practices. We are committed to transparency, quality, and delivering fair value for our customers.
The mark-up between the all-in cost per garment and the final price to customer enables us to sustain and grow the business. The mark-up covers our design & development, marketing & operations, business overheads, and brand margin.
